About Our Founder
Jacy Obinugwu is a wellness advocate, creative entrepreneur, and the heart behind JF Scented Candles — a modern minimalist candle brand rooted in self-care, scent, and intentional living founded in Toronto. With a background in Law and Project management. Jacy blends her corporate experience with her exciting passion for creativity and wellness.
What began as a personal ritual to unwind from demanding workdays evolved into hand-poured creations that invite calm, beauty, and presence. Today, she balances both worlds — leading complex projects by day and crafting elegant, eco-conscious candles by night.
Inspired by the healing power of scent, Jacy launched JF Scented Candles to help others create calming, beautiful spaces through eco-conscious craftsmanship. Each candle is carefully made using natural soy wax, premium essential oils, and clean-burning cotton wicks.
When she’s not crafting scents or refining brand visuals, Jacy is dreaming up new ideas, mentoring others, traveling, and building meaningful community through intentional living.

JF scented candle is an eco friendly hand-crafted candle brand born from the desire to promote wellness and self-care.
Our journey began with a single candle and a vision. A vision to bring warmth, tranquility, and inspiration into people's homes, one flicker at a time. As a passionate advocate for wellness and holistic living our founder realized that a candle is more than just a decorative piece it’s a powerful tool for transformation. The simple act of lighting a candle has the ability to reset the atmosphere, soothe the soul, and reignite your connection with yourself.
The first JF candle was crafted not for sale, but for personal healing. Our founder sought a way to unwind after long days, juggling the demands of a corporate job, entrepreneurship, and personal life. She longed for a ritual that could signal the end of a hectic day and the beginning of rest and restoration. Lighting a candle became that ritual. But something was missing from the candles she found on store shelves—they were often filled with toxic paraffin wax and harmful additives. Hence the birth of JF Scented Candles.
Each jar is thoughtfully created to transform your space and engage your body and mind through aromatherapy Each candle is made from an all-natural soy based wax infused with premium essential oils. Our candle wicks are 100% cotton, eco friendly, GMO free, biodegradable and suitable for vegans.
